  I initially came to this church because they were offering volunteer opportunities for people who wanted to help. While I am incredibly grateful for all the work we have been able to do together, it was the church itself that has really impressed me. I was told that the church started 100 years ago when English speakers in the island came together with the realization that they didn’t need to build many churches in order to represent all the different denominations. Today, Union church continues to be a place where people from different Christian perspectives can all worship together. Catholic, Baptist, Pentecostal, Protestant, anabaptist, etcetera. Sure, the differences can be challenging, but how wonderful is it to think of people focusing on the things they have in common instead of what could separate them from one another? We may agree to disagree, respectfully. It gives me the space to ask questions, voice doubts, and develop my faith without feeling pressure to fit into someone else’s idea of what box I should fit into.

  Very friendly, welcoming, and multicultural. Amazing music and great sermons. Highly recommended.
