::They tell you that only luxury cars or big jeeps/trucks require their own insurance then when you try to book a small compact or small suv they say you can’t unless u get their $22 insurance. That insurance is commission for them and is totally negotiable. When you get there tell them all that you’ll go with the one who doesn’t charge the extra insurance. You’ll see how quickly they change their tune. A bunch of scammers. If they were honest I would give the a tip and actually come back to them. Call a rental company in DR before you (outside of the airport) and make them commit to a price and make sure it’s doesnt not include that extra $22-$25 insurance. Then have a taxi take u there.
