  A hidden gem! And when I say hidden, I mean it. We literally didn't know the name of the restaurant. But we were so tired after walking around OSJ that we just wanted to sit down, have a coffee and a snack (and when I say snack, I only mean empanadas - when in Puerto Rico!) Sadly, the place didn't serve any coffee but they did have empanadas. We ordered two chicken empanadas and they were in the oven baking (yes!!!). Took about 10 min and we were served piping hot empanadas. And oh man, were they delicious. The meat was tender, well flavored and since they were baked, no greasiness. Our server also suggested the guava sauce and it added a spicy kick. It's a must visit if you're craving empanadas! One star off because I wish they also served coffee. P.S: Their restrooms are decorated in such a funky way, all those colorful tiles!

  Great empanadas that are prepared by one of the owners, but even better people. We spent a week in Old SJ, saw/ate/drank in most of it, but this is hands down the best place we went. Felt like a neighborhood bar and I will miss it dearly.

  Happy hour all of the time - can’t beat that! They serve baked empanadas and they are the best I’ve had here in PR thus far. They open at 3p and are closed on Mondays. The owners are wonderful and speak English.

  Soy uruguayo y me topé con este lugar por accidente hace un par de años cuando fuí a Puerto Rico. Que delicia!!! las mejores empanadas de San Juan. Las cocinan al horno de leña, no fritas, como debe de ser señores. Bien tranquilo el lugar. No hay nada mejor que unas ricas empanadas con una birra bien fria o una copita de vino. Vamo arriba la Celeste!!
